CZ 75 mag release spring replacement
Guys, I want the mag release stiffer.
My question is this: If I buy this spring here from the CZ competition store: http://czcustom.com/CZ-Magazine-Release-Spring.aspx Will it be: 1. Less Stiff 2. Same As, or 3. More stiff Than the original factory one? If it's 1 or 2, it's not gonna help me. Unless it's 2 (same as stock), and mine happens to have just worn some. I've taken this spring it and stretched it wider to try to make it stiffer, but then it won't go back in right, and ultimately didn't work - if anything I managed to make it weaker, defeating my goal. Thoughts? Anywhere to buy stiffer ones? Thanks! |

Just build up the stock where the spring inserts into the upper receiver for about a 1\16" below the receiver. A little glass bedding will do it. I just made my own carbon / kelvar stock. When bedding the action to the stock, I had a little extra bedding behind the spring which made a little stiffer requiring more force to release the magazine.

Will that work on a handgun though?
