Wolf or Fiocchi Ammo Good in .357 Carbine?
Happy New Year All.
Has anyone had any experience with either Wolf of Fiocchi Ammo in a .357 lever-action carbine? I have .357's revolvers and a Marlin 1894cs, and the price for a box of 50 rounds of JHP from both of these manufacturers seems good. But I've been cautioned by local gun merchants that reloadable rounds such as these are bad for the rifle barrel because they are dirty and burn too hot. How about it - can anyone out there tell me how they function in this type of gun, and if the advice I've been given is correct? Thanks |

Haven't used them in .357, but have in other calibers. They'll work fine.

Fiocchi's great ammo. Also loaded to Euro pressure specs & a touch hotter than SAAMI. Not +P, but not far from it.
I shoot Rem 125gr SJHPs outta my Rossi 92 w/no probs & the Rems are packin' a good bit o' stank. Would like to try their 125 SJSPs, for possible use as a brush gun, come next deer season. I think your local merchants are just trying to sucker you into buying more expensive ammo. |

Thanks. I've also heard good things about CCI Blazer Brass. THink I'll try them, too. Safe shooting.
