Lee precision 90230

Any one have issues with the Lee precision 90230 New Auto Prime Hand Priming Tool. I have the old one with the metal handle and square tray (not sure of model #) and it works good except the occasional upside down primer (1 in 100). I just picked up the new plastic handle one with the folding tray (90230?). having issues with primers getting stuck at the little gate mechanism. By that I mean the plastic part that lifts the primer from the feed shoot up to fall into the shell holder bit. Constantly fiddling with the thing to keep it running! Is this a known issue or am I doing something wrong? possibly a lemon? will post pic soon.

I have experienced the same when reloading .357Mag over the weekend. To keep the unit tilted forward a bit had helped in the end.
