Barnes Vortx 225gr 44mag

This ammo is listed as 225 grain 1145 fps with 655 ftlbs energy. What would be your maximum distance with this with a 7.5 inch 44 mag on a deer?

I wouldn't use that load unless I had no other options. Not enough energy, imo and there are a lot of other loads making more energy
If no other options, 25 yards would be about my max range

With that load? 25 yards.

When I use a 225 grn for deer it is an FTX @ 1500 FPS or so from my 7 1/2 SBH.
