M/L caps and primers ???
Read on the internet that part of that one factor, in the shortage of #11 caps, is that ignition powder is being used quite heavily in modern cartidges and that eventually we will see more caps on the market. ....
![]() If this is true, are the powders in caps and 209-primers, corrosive? So even if you just pop a cap, should we clean out their residue. My thinking is yes but not as bad as "all" M/L main charge M/L propellants. ..... ![]() What say ... Y'all ??? Be Safe !!!

Modern percussion caps use lead styphnate which is non corrosive.
