Hall Rifle carbine sling article
Frederick C. Gaede has an illustrated 20 page article on the carbine slings used by the 1st and 2nd Regiment Dragoons (1835-55) in the Fall 2022 issue of The Military Collector and Historian.
There's also an article on the 1841 Rifle, Lt. Col. Herbert Jeffrey's Regiment of Foote (1646-78) during Bacon's Rebellion (Virginia), an article on Revolutionary War Count Pulaski's American "Bosniaque-Lancers" by Michael Gadue, fortification maps of Wolfgang Romer in the British Library and an article on colored target shooting companies of the antebellum era.
