10 mm in IDPA?
Does anyone know if I can shoot a 10 mm in IDPA and, if so, which class? My carry gun is a Kimber Eclipse Custom 10 mm. IDPA's rulebook says CDP is for .45's only in a 1911 style gun. Can I shoot it in the ESP class? I've wanted to start shooting in IDPA for a while now, but I am an over the road truck driver and I never know when I will be home. Hopefully that will change soon with a local driving job. I'm ready to come home and start shooting!

I believe you CAN shoot ESP, but not CDP. As you stated, CDP is strictly for .45 caliber handguns

Thanks a lot for the reply. I have several 1911's in .45 but I seem to shoot better with my 10 mm. The recoil isn't bad at all with 180gr. FMJ. Looking forward to foining a club here in NC.

I have another question. What about a S & W Model 327 TRR8. It has a five inch barrel. Is it legal for IDPA?

Thank you very much. I guess that is a good excuse to buy another revolver with a four inch barrel. My wife is going to love that!!
