Knife was custom assembled in Denver with a cut in the spring that allows it to be "popped" open with a flick of the wrist. I don't think they are doing it anymore. I got it there back about 4 years ago when I bought a "byrd" from them (Spyderco)

CRKT M16-01T that I paid $40 for. Nice knife but I don't think of a knife as a primary weapon if I can lay my hands on just about anything else.

ZT400, owned by Kershaw. A bit pricey but I really like it.

Others have included a fullsize kabar, kabar TDI, or a CRKT 4" fixed blade. Dont remember the name of the CRKT.

I dont really care about the looks I receive when I wear a fixed. only time anyones ever said anything was when I had a tiny little $4 winchester knife. Florida has some crappy knives laws, and I dont yet have a ccw, so the TDI isn't used much.

I would like a medium sized push-dagger, but I cant really see any real use out of it. Kinda one purpose.

I much prefer fixed blades. Once I have a ccw Ii will be switching back to a fixed, and concealing it. or at least most of it. Assuming I can find a comfortable way.

I always have a Moore Maker 8" drop point fixed blade cowboy knife on my belt. They make them out of carbon steel and they hold an edge.

Kershaw assisted opening. Just like a gun, the faster you can bring it into action, the better off you are. Learn how to use it! good knife instruction is a great idea for those who may be interested

I carry a classic Leatherman super tool on my belt and a CRKT fulcrum folder in my pocket everyday. I feel naked with out them, use them all this time, as tools.

Of course, I'm a mechanic, so I find my self needing a pair of pliers at the spur of the moment more often than the average person

S&W M&P SWMPLS in dark grey.
I only got it to go with my AR M&P15.
Normaly carry a Ken Onion or Kershaw sping assists.
Otherwise have a huge collection of knives that just stay in thier boxes as collectalbles for my own interestes in knives.
Got some really nice ones from Snap On and Matco over the years on the tool trucks.

I carry a Wenger Swiss army knife. I can open cans, beer and wine bottles and trim my finger nails with it. It also has an awl so I can punch another hole in my belt if I ever lose weight. : )

Day to day, I carry a folding Cold Steel "Ultimate Hunter" VG-1 Stainless. Might not necessarily be the best defensive knife, but it does everything I ask of it.

Emerson Combat Karambit and a Commander Karambit. Yes 2 Karambits and sometime a bokerplus subcom claw clipped on my belt.

Great knives but like any edged weapon, they do require training to use effectively.

Got a few I choose between.

4" Cold Steel Ti Light

Some states I visit have problems with 4" blades, so I also have a Boker Karambit with a 2 7/8" blade. I liked the "Wave" feature on the Ti Light, so I worked up a prototype modification to give me the same abilities with the Boker. I planned to make up a version out of a better material, but the plastic version has held up so well, I haven't bothered.

Me too, except mine also has a ~~bread knife~~ wood saw.

I've also recently picked up a Gerber Artifact.

Probably because knives that open by inertia and/or gravity are classified as switchblades in a lot of places, even if it doesn't have a spring.

I carry a Gerber assisted opening or CRKT M16. Years back I used to open carry a CRKT ABC in the side leg pocket on my jeans.

Business attire: Fällkniven Garm Fighter

I found in training that if a bigger and stronger guy should succeed fixing you grappling on your strong side (ie on top of your gun) a weakside carried knife is all you need to "tickle" him off you and cut your way to your gun (if still neccessary).

I carried a Western 542 with a Delran bone handle for 40 years,now that I am retired,I carry a Gerber mini para as a $ clip and usually a Buck Mantis,it's very slim and a little heavy so I know it's there opposite my Taurus PT-745 PRO.
