Check out www.303british.com
Great site with tons of reloading data. I've been using Reloader 15 for my 303 scout rifle with excellant results. I just got some of Sierra's 174gr Matchkings and intend to do some load development very soon. Anyone here have any suggestions for a good whitetail hunting load? I've been getting MOA with 42.5 gr. of RE15, WW primers, Yugoslavian brass and 185gr. .313 diameter bullets pulled from 7.65 Argentine ammo. Not too bad for a $20 surplus 2 groove barrel! |

Good site.
My No 4 Mk I likes the following load: 125gr Sierra JSP, 45gr Reloder 15, Winchester brass and primers. .5MOA with iron sights, and absolutely devastating. |

Hello. I've had grand luck with the following load in my No.4 MkII: 150 gr Sierra Spitzer, Frontier cases, Remington 9 1/2M primer/45.0 gr IMR-4895. Cases trimmed to 2.21" and LOA is 3.03" (easy to remember).
This does MOA at 100 yards from my rifle and velocity is about 2600 ft/sec. I suggest that you neck size only to prevent case separation. Since I've been doing that, no separations. Best. |

Thanks. I haven't had much luck with the 125s yet but I'm not done yet! Have you taken any game with them yet?
I have a set of RCBS full length dies but for the most part I use Lee collet dies. I've been using Lee collet dies for loading 308 match ammo and for my 22 Hornet and they work as advertised. Great dies. My Lee Loadmaster is another story! [This message has been edited by Jaeger (edited August 30, 2000).] |
