Proud new owner of an MR9 FS (Walther p99)!

Found a great deal tonight on a Magnum Research - MR9 FS. Couldn't refuse it. Size is slightly larger than a G13. M.R. produces it along with Walther. Walther supplies the P99 Frame and Trigger. M.R. does the rest. Manufactured in the USA. Basically it's a P99 with some M.R. Finishing touches. 9mm. 15 round cap. Thinking about the Walther PPS Gen 1 now for backup possibly. Also, 9mm. Identical mag release.. Thought So?

I happen to like the P99 design and the only reason I don't have the longslide version of the MR9 is that it has the old (shorter) mag release lever. I much prefer the longer levers.

And I may buy one anyway. The longer slide pistol would be a better shooter.

I replaced my PPS Classic with the PPS M2 partly because the grip was too small for me to use the PPS short levers to quickly release a magazine. The whole grip on the M2 is better, and the trigger is slightly better, compared to the PPS Classic.
