T/C .45 colt barrel damage

hey all
i got This T/C Contender .45 colt barrel that someone....
"the chamber on this barrel has been made deeper in order to be able to also shoot 410 shotgun shells."

Needless to say S&W (TC Arms) says it is unsafe to shoot.
can this Barrel be saved by being Re chambered ?
and what can it be re-chambered too
TIA

Is this a straight .45 Colt barrel or one of the .45 Hotshots with choke made during the period when the BATF would not allow TC to sell factory .45-410?

My neighbor the gunsmith did good business rechambering the latter to .410.

Of course the company lawyers will not admit it is usable. And they sure would not approve of a re-rechamber even if there were something else to rechamber it to.
Which there is not.

If it were mine I would shoot it.
Of course I am not telling you to shoot it because if I did and it blew you to smithereens your widow's lawyer would track me down and sue me.

How about making it into a 45-70, or 45-60?

S&W is the same as Ruger, and many other gun companies, in replying about modifications of any kind, and there standard reply is that any modification is un-safe.

I once sent an e-mail to Ruger, asking if a longer barrel, by 2", was okay on a 10-22, and the rely was, no, it's unsafe.
