Electronic ear protection
Looking for anybody's recommendations on the electronic ear protection (the kind of ear muffs which allow normal conversation but shut off for the gunshots). Any highly recommended types as well as types to avoid is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I have remington ones for hunting and also use proears for the range. both work nice, they really take the edge off the noise from firearms. They don't seem as effective as traditional muffs but you can still hear the range officer in between shots which is nice.
As a bonus, my dad is going deaf and LOVES to hunt with the pro ears as it helps him regain a bit of his hearing in the woods. When I use them in the woods it is like having Bionic ears - I can hear better than normal.

Peltor Comtac's have worked for me for many years now. I would stay away from their Tactical 6's as they tend to break.
