Anyone pick up the new SAR SR38?
Does anyone own the new SAR SR38?
It's a copy (not clone) of the 6 rnd S&W 586 in appearance. Being a revolver, I am completely hesitant given all work would be through an importer. |

I have a 4" black one, and it has a great SA and a pretty great DA trigger. My only concern was that there seemed to be a lot of side to side wiggle of the cylinder. I had a local guy who is an S&W expert look at it (before I shot it) and he said it wasn't great, but it was acceptable, and the insides looked better done than many new S&W revolvers he's seen lately. I fired both .38spl, and some magnum loads without any issues. Timing is fine, and it seems a thicker cylinder stop would resolve the cylinder play. Seems like a very solid gun, like all the SAR and Canik guns are.
