I've seen replicas of all sorts of pistols that look real. I always tell
folks to be careful as LEOs like to go home at night. Officers cannot reasonably be expected to wait and see if the gun is real.

As for the guns being painted Orange........Gangbangers and druggies have been painting real firearms to look like toys.....something to think about.

Common-Freaking-Sense

It's incredibly elusive to so many people.

I've seen alot of these super-realistic airsoft's myself. When it comes to them, I sit on the fence. I think its great that they finally make a pratice weapon thats so close to the real thing, but I worry about all the immature people out there who buy one with intent to fool others into thinking they have a real gun.

Its an easy way to get killed, I think.

Cripes... kids today have it too good. The toy guns and BB guns I had as a kid were pretty sorry by comparison.

We've had a couple of our local 'bangers go the opposite direction, painting the muzzles dayglo orange figuring it might get them the first shot.
