9mm SBR build Optic question

I am currently waiting on my tax stamps to start my first SBR build with suppressor.

I am looking at several optics for this build. The Sightmark M-Spec LQD Reflex Sight, Sightmark M-Spec FMS Reflex Sight and the Sightmark Wolverine CSR Red Dot Sight and lastly, the LUCID Red Dot sight.

I would like to know what the communities opinions of these optics are? And if anyone knows what the difference between the LQD & the FMS is? I'v looked at the specs and they appear to be the same thing?

Thank you in advance. - Woody

I'm going to preface this with: I don't know very much specifically about the models you are looking at (though I'm familiar with the brands).

Is there a reason you are looking at the ones you've picked right now? In a very similar budget, there are maybe some other options I would look at first. Just off the top of my head:

Sig Sauer Romeo on sale for $129/ Free Shipping https://goo.gl/1n6fXg

Vortex Strike Fire for $179/ Free Shipping https://goo.gl/e4wVig

All kinds of Primary Arms red dots for under $150: https://www.primaryarms.com/MCategories+Red-Dots

Just MY personal opinion that if I were putting a red dot on my own gun in that price range, I would feel better buying any one of the above three brands over a Sightmark or the Lucid.

But I'm not here to bash anyone's choice to the contrary. Hopefully somebody comes along with answers to your other questions

Holosun hs510c. Absolutely faaaaaaabulous on my 9mm “pistol”/sbr. Sightmarks suck IMHO.

Thank you for the reply. Ive never used a red dot/ reflex so Ive only ever been told, you get what you pay for. Unfortunately Those are in mt price range. I will look into your suggestions. - Peace

It may be true in a way that you get what you pay for; you won't get an Aimpoint or Trijicon for $150.

But I believe it's also a well supported opinion that there are better options in the same price range than others. For the $100 you can find a Sightmark for, you are in the same price range as a Primary Arms optic and very close to something like a basic Vortex, both of which seem to get much better reception than Sightmark.

Just my thoughts
