Trip to Milwaukee

So annual trip to Milwaukee to see wife’s bazillion relatives. Any gun stores that I gotta visit?

The Range of Richfield. Across from Cabela's (or Bass Pro, whatever it's called now).
Probably the nicest range/shop in the greater Milwaukee area.

Fletchers is nice.

Haven't been to the Shooters Shop in a long time. Their range was dark, dank and had horrible ventilation. The guys working behind the desk were beyond arrogant and condescending. Hopefully that's changed over the past few years.

Hey, we've got one of those in the Twin Cities. Their membership is also filled with enough, how should I put this, "firearms experts" that I don't take friends there for shooting and only go myself if there's no other range available. I am capable of putting up with these experts that come over unbidden and tell me what's wrong with my guns, what's wrong with the way I shoot etc., etc. Please note in a LOT of years of shooting in a lot of different places this is the ONLY place I know of where this behavior is so prevalent and tolerated. There's LOTS of good shooting ranges and stores in the Twin Cities.

If you are up for a scenic drive, the Dam Road Gun Shop is a trip back to how gun shops used to be 50 years ago but with a huge selection. Nicest guys you can imagine.

Which way you coming from? I usually stop at this one on our way Esox Hunting in the U.P. Not far from Rhinelander.https://www.ciminosgunandarchery.com/

Been to several in Rhinelander itself such as, https://www.hodaggunandloan.com/

Depending on the way you take, every town in that area is going to have a gun shop. Many small general stores and local gas stations still sell ammo.

Getting dam close to gun deer season here, most gun shops are gonna be busier than “a one-toothed man in a corn-on-the-cob eating contest.”
