.22 lr file/trim die, make flat nosed bullets
Any one know where to get one of these dies?
I have been reading about making a 22 lr bullet a flat nose for a few years. Just read an article in "Guns" mag and have had no luck with my searches. |

Thanks Hammerhead, exactly what I was looking for.
I looked on rimfire central and did a search, no results. Google, Brownells and Midway no luck also. Last edited by moose fat; June 16, 2018 at 11:38 PM. Reason: spelling, |

I did this a number of years ago when I heard about it.
I used a short section of 1” bar stock, faced both ends in a lathe and drilled a hole down the center for the .22 round. Made it like a case gauge but the bullet stuck out the end by he amount I wanted to trim off of it. Waste of time but that’s how I did it. |

I got a Paco Kelly's ACU’RZR a few years ago. It improved the across the board accuracy by a minimum of 10% with most going to about 25%. Reshaping the nose also adds to hunting efficiency/expansion...
