MagTech Solid Copper Hollow Points, any experience/opinions?

Mag Tech produces 9MM Luger 92.6 Grain Solid Copper Hollow Points
any experience with these or opinions?

The concept of using solid copper for the entire bullet and the weight of 90grs reminds me of the Hirtenberger/Fiocchi EMB, but the EMB seems to be a more advanced and versatile design...

I don't know about Mag Tech but I am carrying Corbon DPX. These bullets are also all copper made by Barnes .Barnes has an excellent record with their hunting bullets . The DPX are new so there isn't very much street experience but all the tests show excellent performance especially through barriers .They are accurate and function well through autos.

The Cor-Bon DPX is gaining a following. If you do a search here and on THR you will find some test results (I have not seen a test on 9mm, but a sound design will likely transcend calibers).

They are yet easy to find (check Cor-Bon website, they have more info and a good range of calibers) but are very likely (IMHO) worth further evaluation.

If the MagTech is using a similar bullet (Barnes X, I believe), a similar powder charge, etc, then the results may well be similar. If the MagTech is available locally and the Cor-Bon isn't, then please tell us how it works.

BTW, I bought a box of 45acp at a recent gun show--only box I've seen locally.

It just wouldn't well with me to carry a sub-100gr. bullet in the caliber, but hey - if it works, it works. I would like to see street results and barrier penetration tests with them. I wouldn't think they would perform too well in the latter, but the Barnes doesn't seem to disappoint so far.

*sigh*... I wish they would bring the Hirtenberger/Fiocchi EMB in its original form over here to America...
