tell me about it. what is the general info about it

can you make brass from 300WM brass?

The quick answer, you can't use any other brass. The belt width is different so that the 375 H&H based cases won't headspace. Supposedly a safety measure so you won't cram a 450 in a smaller magnum.
Otherwise a very fine cartridge if you like sending big chunks of lead downrange and want to use a lever action instead of a 458 WM bolt.

I used to love being able to hit hard at 1000 yards. As I get older I find hitting a mini ram at 200 yards with the 22 oddly more satisfying.

I don’t know if you already have one or are just gathering information; however, if you don’t already have one you might consider just getting a 45-70 if you intend on reloading. The brass is more plentiful and you can safely reload the 47-70 (for marlins and rugers) right where the .450 marlin is ballisticly. It’s really just a round for non reloaders. Factory 45-70 ammunition is only anemic so it won’t blow up 100 year old rifles.

I got a barrel for a H&R in a trade and didnt know much about the caliber.
