Pink Power

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/arti...ld-police.html

They make a point that it's a pink pistol -in a land where the women would have been the guilty !! I doesn't look like the BG was much of a match even to the unarmed mother !

The Daily Mail is a sensationalist rag - the fact that pink framed handguns exist and are common enough in the US would come as a surprise to most people in the UK, hence the article.

The tone of the article implies approval of the actions of the women and their pink pistol, so I am not sure how the fact that handguns are generally illegal in the UK is relevant. But the point was that it was pink, therefore unusual and interesting to the readership of the newspaper and in the judgement of the editor worth publishing.

The color of the handgun aside, does anyone question the tactic of locking a BG in? Over eight bucks? Yeah, I understand the feeling of violation, but things could have gone much differently had the jerk been armed in any way.

Could have been a disaster even unarmed, good that it all turned out well for them. Defo doesn't seem like the greatest idea in the world.

Very little information from a source not particularly noted for reliability. Doesn't really seem to be anything to be learned here. Closed.
