9mm Carbine

Not sure if this is a semi-auto question or a rifle question. Looking for a 9mm carbine that accepts the magazine of a pistol.

For example, I know Beretta makes a carbine that accepts the magazine of a 92F.

Thanks in advance.

Beretta CX4 uses PX4, 92, or 8000 Cougar magazines. I have a .40 SUB-2000 Gen2 that takes M&P magazines. Then there are a multitude of AR lowers that can take Glock magazines... as do the JR Carbines.

The Marlin 9MM Camp Carbine accepts an S&W M659 magazine. It sticks out below the magazine well, but functions.

Mech tech makes uppers for pistol lowers for 1911, Glock and Springfield pistols. There are also AR-15 types like the one PSA offers that takes Glock mags. As said the Justright carbine for Glock mags, Marlin camp carbine takes the S&W 59 series mags and 1911, Keltec sub 2000 makes rifles for Glock, S&W and Beretta mags.

Wilson has a new 9mm version. Takes Glocks and Beretta mags.
Note Beretta has a 30 round FS 92 mag. Glock has those 30 rounds IIRC.

As an aside the CZ Scorpion has good reviews. Doesn't use pistol mags though.

Been very happy with my Kel-Tec SUB2000's. I have Gen 1 and 2 in 9MM that takes Glock mags. I carry my SUB in a briefcase along with a Glock34 and spare mags including the Glock 33 round mags.

Fx9 carbine.

How about building your own AR in 9mm?

Chiappa M1 Carbine: also takes Beretta 92 mags. It's a blowback 9mm.
CX4 is another that others have suggested.
Ruger also made one a little while back that takes a pistol mag (don't remember which one).

I researched this as well: Taurus CT9

The Taurus CT9 is a neat little number, but doesn't take standard pistol mags. I had a pipe dream of getting one and modifying the magwell to accept S&W mags, but that's all that is: a dream.

Just Right Carbine. The mag well is modular and is available in a few of the more popular mags. Mine came with the S&W M&P9 version but later I switched to the Glock version to utilize the 32rnd mags. Great little rifle. Uses an AR collapsible stock and can accept any AR trigger group. I love mine and after a few thousand trouble free rounds I'll never let it go. Very similar to shooting my AR but ammo costs half as much.

I own a Camp 9 and you are WRONG!!!!! Get ANY Acetone on the ABS trigger housing and you are HOSED. ED's Red is DEFINITELY NOT RECOMMENDED!!! There are many products that use Acetone and you will find that they will melt the ABS.

There is much to commend the Camp series for but that "FEATURE" is a BUG.

Only the hottest segment of the Industry in 2017.

I tried to count how many there were in 2012 and came up with 7. Tried to count how many there are in 2017 and gave up at 50.

For a budget-wise, the KelTec Sub2000 is the ticket. Few little upgrades and it will run like a sewing machine. An AR9 with Glock mags can be had with almost endless configurations. 2011, M&P, SIG, XD, Berretta, Colt and a few other mags to feed them are options.

I have seen a number of LegoGun AR9s. Some of them actually work.

Price isn't the problem with the SUB-2000... actually finding the one you want is.

Actually, not as easy as it seems. Buffer tune, ammo tune. Blowbacks with the wrong set-up are popping cases, breaking extractors, ejectors, bolt catches, buffer tubes and more. Not rocket science, but different than .223 gas gun ARs enough that the mistakes are pretty common.

It may not be rocket science, but if it WAS, I could help(aero engineer here).

Sorry, makes me laugh every time.

Found that Ruger: the Ruger PC9. It's a police carbine, but it never really took off. They are no longer made, but you could probably find one for pretty cheap. They run on the Ruger P series pistol mags.

My Hi Point 995 uses mags that are interchangeable with my Hi Point 9mm handgun.

That's probably not what you're looking for though, so my vote would be the Kel-Tec or the Camp 9.

Please stop talking about the Marlin Camp 9. I had one and I let someone talk me into selling it to him. The $200 profit does not mean much at this point.

Kel-tec for me as well. I like the Scorpion Evo, but the Kel-tec is half the cost, and it shoots like a house on fire. I can literally shoot out the 10 ring with this effortlessly at 25 yards. Just use 124 grain or heavier pills.

It also folds up smaller than almost anything else. Nice for storing in my motorcycle's trunk!

I don't have one, but the HI POINT gets surprisingly good reviews.

Same with D/I .45s... you don't want to have just anyone do the build, but someone who knows what they are doing.

Fair point, I either got lucky or listened to the right advise which was pretty much a 5.4 oz or heavier buffer and a good quality spring. No cheap anderson springs. GTG.

Totally forgot about the Scorpion Evo. Would like to see THOSE come down in price because they look awesome and I've read good things.
