Helloooo HK....goodbye SIG

First range trip with the HK I bought this afternoon.

The SIG 2002 shoots great with the Bill Springfield trigger job, but the HK just feels more "natural" in my hands. I think it's just a matter of ergonomics.

And I really like the decocker/safety as well as the mag release.

I'm shipping the HK to Bill Monday for one of his excellent trigger jobs.

Doc's a happy camper.

Nothing beats the gun that feels right.

Sigs are my thing, though. hehe

I'm a SIG fan from the word go. But I've heard wonderful things about HK. My buddy has a couple, and he swears by them. He's a smith at one of my locals and I respect his opinion. I've never had a privilege to shoot an HK yet. Looking forward to hooking up with him at the range to do so.

Glad you like your recent addition. Just because I'm a SIG fan doesn't mean I don't appreciate a good firearm.

Nice choice, as I certainly love mine. Had I looked closer I now see that "USP" was noted on the target

Looks sweet, doc! I like the red, and addition to the grip. I'm starting to want an HK now.

Nice shooting. I too enjoy an HK. Also thanks for that pic. Another one to drool over. Haha.

We used to have a deputy that swore by HK, that is, until he starting having trouble with one and had to deal with their C.S. He also had his FFL and sold pistols, HK included. The last I heard he'd gotten rid of them all. I've shot a few H.K.'s and they all shoot okay, really no better or worse than a SIG though. For me, I'll stick with an all metal gun, but it's what works best for you. The red coloring sure is pretty though.

I am issued a P2000 and have in the past been issued a USPc and P2000sk. Our agency will not allow us to use the grip thing you have installed because in the past they have worked upward and precluded the magazine release lever from being actuated.
