They're UL listed and I haven't had a problem or had even one get warm in the 5 years that I've been using them. The only reason that I replace them is the batteries give out.

Yeah, I've got the same problem as well. I don't know for sure how many I have, but let's just say that I have several for any occasion. Drop points, clip points, stilletos, folders, fixed blades, you name it. I have to stop buying these.
