John Brown's Sharps carbine at Wilson's Creek Battlefield

One of Beecher's Bibles (a slant breech Sharps carbine) is displayed at Wilson's Creek Battlefield near Springfield, MO. Just saw it today. I didn't ask the ranger how they knew and I'm guessing the serial # fell in the right range.

Their research library is presently closed and everything is in boxes. They're rebuilding it and have in excess of 7,000 volumes. Wow.
