I'm looking for an inexpensive barrel to cut down (within legal specs) for my 870 Magnum.

My 870 is one of the "Special Purpose" series, with the matte finish on all of the metalwork. A matte or parkerized plain 12 ga. barrel would be perfect, any length is okay since I'll be pruning it down to either 18" or 20" for home defense.

Any suggestions or comments concerning sights? I'd love to hear 'em.

Thanks,

RacerX

Cabela's has Remington 20",rifle sight barrels for $104.95. No fuss, no muss, no broken hacksaw blades.

You can also order Rem 870 Barrels directly from Mossberg. The parkerized 18.5" cylinder bore w/ bead sight is $94. Check it out on thier web page. http://www.mossberg.com/acatalog/pricebarrels.htm Scroll to the bottom of the screen
