Adding front sight to Howa Mini-action???

Recently I bought a piece of property that is very wooded. I quickly found out how useless my favorite carry rifle is with a scope in the woods. I really like my Howa 223 Mini-action. It's light, reliable and accurate. Unfortunately it doesn't come with any sights.

I'm a fan of peep sights and Williams makes a simple peep sight that would fit. I'm looking for a simple clamp on front sight or one I could JB weld on the end of the barrel.

I've scanned the internet and found nothing suitable for this #1 barrel. Can anyone help me get a front sight for this thing?

Thanks
Ron

JB Weld is a very poor choice to hold a front sight on.

Is the rifle useless because of magnification or bulk and getting hung up on limbs?

If the issue is magnification making it hard to see,I might suggest a red/green dot large diameter tube sight or a 1 power scope.

If the issue is bulk then maybe a reflex sight.
Mounting and aligning a front sight is not a good first smithing project.

Front sights should be screwed or soldered on.
I don't like Williams b/c it's aluminium and I found that aluminium walks.
Consider a red dot.
