Help: Winchester Model 70 Bolt Issue

Hey guys,

UPDATE: I ACTUALLY FIXED THIS ONE ON MY OWN.

Mods, you can delete this. Thanks.

I recently sent my Model 70 out to a custom stock maker to get a new fiberglass stock on it. The stock looks great, but there’s an issue with the bolt. Somehow I cannot get the bolt back into the gun. It looks like the rear part of the bolt doesn’t line up properly. I’m not sure if they dissembled it, or what happened, but I need some help.

UPDATE: Scorch is right about the problem. The solution ended up being quite simple. Just a firm twist and it locked back into place.

Thanks for your help.

You have the claw extractor twisted in the wrong position

He has already fixed it, but he let the cocking piece come out of the cocked position. Common problem.
