Places to shoot near Killeen, TX

Just looking a place out in the country where I can do some shooting that's not a formal shooting range, legally of course. Or maybe someone who owns private land I can work something out with. Thanks.

If you can't find one of those,
Check out the Where to Shoot section at the National Shooting Sports Foundation web site.
It's a real good source.

g.willikers, thanks for that link, I think I have seen it before but have long forgotten. I found some interesting prospects near some of my sporadically spread out family and friend places. I love shooting with my dad and stepdad and a couple friends, but the drive out to "my spot" is overwhelming for them and I refuse to try to have good time at an indoor range, it's no fun at all when cooped up in your cubicle without being able to hear each other speak.
My head is bloody, but unbowed

I have short at ranges near Killeen, TX. They furnished the ammo and the rifles. To shoot you must become a member. the last time I was there it was called Fort Hood.
