CZ-70

Soooooooooooo

I got a box of 32ACP for Christmas in my stocking
Take the CZ-70 to the range, load the mag, after the first shot, the mag popped out about a 1/4 inch.
Thinking I a somehow someway hit the mag release, I push it back in and make sure I am no where near the mag release.
BANG! out pops the mag again.
What can I do other than toss this thing in the trash

Do you have another mag you could try? If it is not the mag, it could be:

The mag catch itself may be damaged
The mag catch spring may be dirty/damaged

In my experience, the CZ 50/70 the mag catch is anything but easy to press.

I have not had a chance to do a search, but Numrich may have a catch and spring.

Mine cane with 2 mags. One was easy to insert and use, the other 2 as more difficult to insert and remove but still worked. Just needed a bit more force. Definitely no speed reloading going on with that particular model though.

Just the one mag, but I have managed 100 rounds or so before this occurred.

Back story, months ago took it to the range with my GF and her female friend.
While they were shooting it the gun jammed, I cleared the jam but it would not chamber another round. I put it away and hadnt had time to look at it.
When I did, there was a bullet STUCK in the barrel, squibbed I guess.
VERY LUCKY it seated just forward enough to keep the next round from chambering.
I knocked the slug back down to the breach. Then when I put her together the mag would not seat at all.
Took her apart and it seemed like when I knocked the slug out, I made a small piece of metal just below the ramp stick out.
Soooooo I lightly filed this until the mag seated.
I hope I didnt file away the mag latch, I guess I need to google up an exploded diagram

I have a vz.50 and a vz.70. I thoroughly cleaned and lubed both of them before firing, and all of my magazines are factory. Zero problems.

No offense intended, but I think that you have "Bubba"d your gun.

I got two magazines with my CZ 70, first time to the range my son loaded up both magazines, fired off the first , inserted the second, fired one round and the floor plate fell out, rather it forcefully ejected the magazine plate, springs , remaining rounds and the follower, later I replaced that magazine with another factory mag from Numrich. A couple of months later, went on vacation, before I left I noticed I had left the two magazines on my work bench, so I picked them up and placed them in a spot that I wouldn't forget. Yes, you're right, after retuning I searched high and low with no results. I assumed somehow they wound up in the trash, Oh, well, ordered two more from Numrich. A couple of months went by, one day I needed a small screw, reached into one of the little drawers in my parts cabinet, and lo and behold, two loaded magazines appeared, Right where I had stashed them so I wouldn't forget where they were. I swear, I didn't put them there, the tooth fairy must have moved them. The CZ50/70 are decent little guns, I carry mine in my truck.
