Ankle holster.

Might get another BUG, S&W 642. Sold one a while ago before I had a chance to get an ankle holster for it. So, before I purchase another one, I'd like to get some info. on which ankle holster you use, if you use one at all. Not a lot of places locally that sell them, so I can not try them on to see which ones I like. Thanks.

I asked this question a couple of weeks ago on a couple of forums, including this one. The most often suggested holster was the Renegade 500. I bought one and am very pleased with it. do a search on ankle holster in the revolver forum here and at THR for more info.

hope your circulation is good...

I don't remember the brand of mine, but I found that even with an air weight J Frame, that it cut off my circulation... made my foot go to sleep if I kept it tight enough that the gun didn't feel as if it were flopping around... a heavier steel gun would be even tougher...

I'm currently using OWB holsters

I've been carrying with the ankle holster for several weeks now and the circulation is fine and the discomfort level is very low.

Try the Galco Glove Ankle Holster - I have one for my Glock 27 and love it. I do plan on buying an Alessi Ankle one for my 642 - I see them on Ebay occasionally. I have heard great things about those as well.

I have the same model DeSantis rig in two sizes, medium for a Kel-tec P-11 and a bigger one for my Detonics. Not sure the model. It's all nylon with a thumb break, but does at least have fake lambswool under the gun. it also has an attachement for a support strap, which I've never needed.

As long as I keep it tight enough to not slide down to my ankle bone, it feels great. It's even secure when I take off running after my kids.

I believe, if ankle holsters cause you circulation problems, don't blame the concept of ankle carry: blame your health. Maybe it's a wake-up call to see the doc and jump start your cardio program!!!
