Help from Chicago Folks

I'm somewhat new to shooting and guns in general and i seem to be getting very interested in it so i was wondering, are there any good training opportunities in the chicagoland area...i know that im not gonna find anything really close due to the gun situation in my area, however i'm wondering where all u chicago people go to train and have fun? So if some chicago people could chime in that would be great!

Chicago Area Gun Range

Hi there I'm from Northern Indiana and if its not to far from you there is a great indoor firing range in Valparasio,Indiana. Its at Blythe's Sport Shop On 49 North in Valpo. I go there all the time .You can rent guns for $7.00 an Hour and the range is $8.00 an hour and you can take in your own ammo. Hope that helps some.

Bloomington is where they do most of their instruction. Not whatcha call extremely close, but I think one of the instructors is actually from the Chicago burbs.

Hello, Anthony, I have several friends from Chicago that take I-65 down to Boone County, Indiana (northwest suburbs of Indy) Sheriff's Department. BCSD hosts many well-known trainers including Louis Awerbuck, Steve Tarani, Colt Armory School, THE Pat Rogers, inter alia.

Simply e-mail the affable, and all-around swell egg Capt. Ken Campbell at BCSD and he should put you on the training group list. Take care.
