Lake City Match ammo

I'm sorting out the last of the ammo I got from an estate and I've found more puzzling rounds. I have around 20 rounds headstamped LC 68 Match but about half of them have soft point bullets and the rest have FMJ bullets. All of them have red lacquer sealed primers and they have no signs of being reloads.

Anyone know if LC ever loaded match ammo with soft point bullets?

I also have a good handful of LC65 ball ammo but that's as one would expect it to be for it's age...

It was a common practice to pull the FMJBT match bullet then seat Sierra 165 or 180 grain boattail hunting bullets. They were more accurate than the arsenal match bullets that tested 12 to 18 inches at 600 yards.
