1911 longslide (6") holster source
A pal (lucky devil) has bought a Kimber 6" longslide 1911 (in 10mm no less)! He states he cannot find a commercial source for a sport/outdoorsman holster. Thumb snap, full length coverage preferred, as well as leather construction.....but a secure kydex model offering full protection could be an option.
Who has a 1911 longslide, and how do you holster it? |

Freedom Hill in Lexington would make him one.
El Paso Saddlery might. Ted Blocker Chris Stewart dba Ready Tac or Bill Dukemineer dba Mastertac would make Kydex to fit but I don't know about retention. Chris makes a 3gun holster deep and molded for reholstering as the shooter goes to long gun. Last edited by Jim Watson; June 12, 2018 at 09:17 PM. |

hey jim
He's been looking for the Freedom Hills people, did not know they were in Lexington. Oddly ,he claims El Paso Saddlery was none committal. We'll check on Ted Blocker. Recently saw a pic of a Tex Shoemaker, but it was vintage.
Thanks. Your absence was noted Monday |
