I need a red dot for my DDM4
But I don't really want to spend the money for an aimpoint or eotech. Is there a less pricey option out there that isn't crap?

You get what you pay for. My suggestion is to get a used Comp M2 on eBay, they're easy to pick up for under $400.

Red dot scope
I know a bunch of shooters who really like the "ultra-dot" product. Comes in different dot sizes for you to choose from.
