Customized guns from Long Hunter Shooting Supply
Has anyone tried one of the Deluxe Edition C&B revolvers from Long Hunter Shooting Supply?
My one and only percussion revolver ('51 Navy) is at Goon's for an action job- thought it might be nice to have something to shoot during the extended wait. Though not as extensive as Goon's, they do some custom work on them and keep it in a more traditional form. Thinking about the '61 Navy to use the same ball and powder measure as my '51, but with a little different look. http://www.longhunt.com/web/index.p....ssion-Revolver |

Kinda spendy... I'd rather have a pair (2) of these for $140 more: https://www.gunbroker.com/item/774693028

I have plenty of cartridge guns, but I like percussion and flintlocks for a little variety and fun.
For the most part, all the cap guns need a bit of work to for optimum performance. Uberti can't seem to make a revolver with the proper length arbor, for example. |

If thats what you like I say go for it. I have only owned a couple of BP revolvers, one colt 44 and a pietta 44 from cabelas. The pietta was one of the best fitted and timed revolvers I have ever handled. That was back around 1998 or so. I sold both of them and never really wanted another. I would like to have a Lyman 50 or 54 caliber great plains pistol. I just have to find a deal on one.
