Parkerizing solution question.
How can I tell if my parkerizing solution gets weak, or needs replacing.

If your solution gets weak, the color will start to lighten and maybe you will get thinner finishes, but this can also happen for other reasons.

You can also replenish with concentrate if it weakens. I expect a pH meter or even old fashioned pH papers may be used to maintain the solution's viability by adding solution concentrate. Just get a reading when the solution is working at its best (usually after acting on some iron), then aim to return the solution to the same pH with concentrate as it ages.
