Desert Eagle 1911 G 45 ACP

After a long hunt, I have just purchased a Desert Eagle 1911 G to my collection. I did a lot of research on this firearm and had wanted a 1911 45 ACP for a while when I came across one on display. Bought it on site! At the range it performed like a champion. Anyone else with a similar experience?

Yes.

I have one and love it. Very comfy to shoot. Very accurate. Great pistol for the money.

Likes to dress differently every so often. :-)

I've heard a lot of good things about it and have considered buying one, just not a fan of that giant billboard on the side. Keep it clean!

There are two at a local gunshop, a government and a commander. That billboard is what keeps me from buying the commander. Otherwise it looks like a great pistol.

I've had a "G" for a little over 2 years, and it is an absolute gem of a 1911. Most folks don't even know that it exists, but I sing its praises whenever I get the chance.

Trigger is outstanding, accuracy, fit and finish are all top notch. I shoot my own 185 grain JHP reloads out of it, and it has never had a malfunction of any sort. Yeah, the billboard is "huge", and I'd prefer that it were not so conspicuous, but the bullets don't come out of the billboard. If I let that deny me from owning an incredible 1911 at a reasonable price, I'd be doing myself a HUGE disservice.
