lyman targetspot scope

Having recently acquired a 10x Lyman targetspot scope, I am trying to gather information about it but find very little published on the interent. Just simple things like what years of manufacture, the difference between targetspot and super targetspot, mines a targetspot, and when was seriial number 1647 produced.

Any information provided would be appreciated.

Thanks

Welcome aboard- glad to have you amongst us!
You're right, there isn't much out there about Lyman Optics history. I have a 2.5x Alaskan and the only reason I know the date on it is because of the paperwork associated with the rifle it was put on in '47. I hope somebody, somewhere, someday can come up with at least a semi-comprehensive timeline and history for those old scopes. Good luck.
