remove firing pins from rossi coach gun with hammers
How do I remove the firing pin from a rossi coach gun with external hammers? Its it simply to unscrew the external sleeve that they protrude from (just below where the hammer hits) ?
Thanks! |

That "sleeve" likely is square so it can be removed with a small wrench. Once it is out, the firing pin and its spring should come out. If that is not the case, get back with us and see what the problem is, as there are other designs.

The sleeve was round but had what looked like a flat head (screwdriver) slot with the firing pin in dead center. I took a flat head screwdriver bit and cut a notch out of it to fit over the firing pin and out they came.....thanks!
By the way, this was a rossi overland 12 ga sxs coachgun |

OK, that was the alternative system I mentioned. Glad it worked for you.
