Starline 45 Auto +P

I'm thinking about ordering some Starline 45 Auto +P brass for target loads.
4 grains of Clays behind 200 LSWC.
Since the +P brass holds 2 grains less powder I figure it'll be easier to avoid double charge. There will be less room in the cartridge for the powder to settle/move and the heavier case may last longer, more reloads.
I'm new at this and any feedback would be appreciated.
Thanx, Chuck U&R

One thing to think about.....

The smaller case capacity will give you a tad higher pressure for a given load.

Start low and work for max accuracy.

Other than that caution...I see nothing wrong with your idea.

Excellent brass! It also gives you thew versatility to load some hot +P if you ever decide to. With target loads, it should last forever.

Personally, I think the extra money paid for (+P) 45 ACP brass is just not worth it for target loads. I use non (+P) brass for most of my 45 ACP loads and have lost only three or four cases to spliting in the last six years. I would reserve the (+P) brass for really hot loads.
