Winchester Wildcat

Recently got a Winchester Wildcat 22LR. Bought it cause it's not real expensive, and it is very lightweight. I was sceptical at first, because of the polymer receiver. Turns out, I really like this rifle. The peep sight is decent, and was dead nuts at 25 yards out of the box.

Good on you. Great little economical starter 22LR rifle.

Also a great pack rifle. Very light and short. I have other rifles, but this one was bought with that intention. Also nice that it takes 10-22 mags.

How many rimfire rounds can it digest before it goes into jam-ski mode?

And what make and weight of .22 ammo does it seem most accurate with?

I have only shot about 100 shots through it so far with no failures. All shots were CCI mini-mags.

Accuracy was about 2 moa with iron sights. I have not put an optic on it and probably won't put an optic on it

My daughter and I compete in a 100yd iron-site, 3-position match, with a 10/22 and added Tech-Sights (rear aperture/peep)..

She's near the top (I suck), but it's more of a clinic than a match. We're poking similar holes to those with M1's and ARs.

.22 works just fine and costs a heck of a lot less than most centerfire.

Trigger is nothing to write home about. Pretty heavy and creepy. It is usable though
