Anyone have luck with RL-19 for 270

I've worked up some good loads with RL-19 for 243 and now starting to work up a load for my .270 with 130 grain Hornady Interlocks. I worked up a load for the Hornady 145 grain ELD-X with RL-19 for the .270 and it shoots great.

Has anyone had luck with RL-19 and 270 with 130 grain bullets?

Another question: If you work up a load with Hornady Interlock 130's and then substitute the bullet for Nosler 130 grain partition, will you see a big difference in accuracy? I assume yes, but just checking. The bullets are very similar in size/shape.

I run RL-19 in .270 Win with 140 gr Partitions as my "one load to rule them all."
It's suitable for all game animals that I hunt, in all conditions that I hunt.

At any given temperature, it never produced the smallest groups. Something else was always better.
But across the broad range of temperatures (~0-110 F), it was always good, and was the most consistent and predictable.
My particular load and rifle are expected to produce 1 MoA groups in any hunting conditions. But when it's at its best (about 48 F, if I remember correctly), it'll shoot 'threes' (0.399" or better) with 5 shots.

If you change a component, you need to work the load up again.
Back the charge off and work back up.

R19 was the first powder I purchased when i started reloading. The reason I bought it was because I found recipes for all the calibers that I reloaded for using R19. However, I got really frustrated using because I was not getting good groups at all. 2 inch groups don't do a lot to build a lot of confidence in the new reloader. I have since tried R19 to test velocities and the velocity is impressive but for my rifles the groups still sucked.

Reloader 19 is one of my favorites for everything from 243 to 375 H&H.

I use rl19 in my 6.5 Creedmoor, but for .270 I like n160 for 140's, nice accuracy.

Thanks for the responses. The RL-19 load for my .243 is tight. I haven't had a chance to shoot the 130's I worked up for the .270 yet. The wife is working from home due to the virus so I have been holding off on shooting.

I just bought a pile of RL-19 due to availability, so I am looking forward to developing more loads with it.

I've had great success with 140 Nosler in my 280. IMR4831 is great with 139 and 154 Hornady. I've also had great success with RL-19 in my 7mmRM with 139 Hornady.

I use RL 19 for some loads. Check w/ Alliant for good recommendations.

They have good data on line. You wont have to worry about on-line experts telling you not to use someone elses data. I noticed you mentioned caliber, bullet and powder but no charge data.

Thanks, I just checked load data for .270 on alliant's site and they are showing 57 grains of RL-19 for 130 grain bullets.
