Bandoliers for 10-round .308/7.62x51 Stripper Clips

I ordered a 40 pack of 308/10RD clips, with a 20 pack of cardboard silencers box inserts off of Amazon last night. (I also ordered an NcStar .308 Quick Magazine Loader.) Now I’m trying to find light-weight bandoliers that have pouches that will hold two 10-round .308 (7.62x51) stripper clips in a box. So far, all I’ve seen are bandoliers for 5-round clips.

I don’t want/need heavy-duty magazine pouches; I already have a web rig with four double-mag G3 pouches. The bandoliers would only be used for grab-n-go, quick ammo reloads.

Maybe the old style M16 7 pocket bandoliers would fit those 10rd 7.62x51 clips.

Maybe this?

Looking at the pictures, you might be able to fit .308 10 round clips in there.

If that doesn't work I would just use the 5 round clips with the readily available bandoliers for those. Just carry two bandoliers.

I got the stripper clips and cardboard boxes today. The dimensions of the box is 5"(H) x 3"(W) x 1.25" (D). Does anyone know of a light-weight bandolier that has a comparable pouch size?

Did you see the one I posted above? I would call or message the company to see about dimensions.

The US never issued (AFAIK) 7.62 NATO in any clips other than 5 round. The M14 is one of the few issue rifles in that caliber that can be loaded using "stripper" clips; most reload only by replacing the magazine.

I'm still looking for the proper-sized pouches. However, in the meantime, the (I think it's the) standard size ammo can holds 380 rounds,

and the small Plano box (#1312) hold 180 rounds.

I decided to order five USGI .223/5.56 4 Pocket Bandoliers off of eBay last night.

I watched a video on YouTube, and it showed the filled bandos packed in an ammo can. The size of the three 5.56 stripper-clip boxes in the ammo can on the video appeared to be about the same size as my two 7.62 stripper-clip boxes in my ammo can, so I "rolled the dice" and ordered a five-pack ($16.00 including S/H).

The guy on the video also demonstrated how you could pull out the white string along the bottom of the pouch and then a 30-round 5.56 mag would fit. Has anyone ever had, or hear of someone else having, an issue with the white string coming loose on its own? I'm thinking of just having the excess material removed, and then having the bottoms resewn.

M1 Rifle/1903 Springfield ammo belts hold 2 5 round stripper clips in each of the 10 pouches. All kinds of that kind of stuff on Amazon and other places.
This is one. http://www.ammogarand.com/m1-garand-...repak-se1.html
"...The US never issued..." Neither did anybody else. CF issued sealed disposable plastic bandoliers for a while. Called 'em 'battle packs'.
"...few issue rifles in that caliber that can..." Other than all FAL types you mean. Our C1A1 and C2 LMG could both use stripper clips.

Thanks for the info, but that's more than I want to spend on an individual bando (even if it's the right size).
