I've had this rifle forever. 22lr only, 8 round magazine, Globe front sight, apeture rear sight, possibly Lyman. Rifle has fantastic Tiger Stripe wood, good finish, weighs 9.5 pounds, goups less than 1 inch @ 1oo yards. Anyone know anything about this rifle?

Michael:
This model is the same as the 144 Bolt action target model, except with the sight system you mentioned. It was mfg'd from 1954. Since 1973 it was marketed as the Model 144. This would indicate your rifle was mfg's prior to 1973.

I also have the same rifle, however I need a bolt for it. Can anyone help.

Harry, thanks for the reply. Now for your dillema, 1. tried the Mossberg Collectors Society? If not I'll get the addy and phone info to you. 2. I think I know locally where to get a bolt....I'll check Tuesday and get back to you.
Thanks Again, Mike
