Nope no one. Literally no one has one.
Except all the people on a Google search and YouTube.

The new military ZIG ZAUER M17 pistol.
Not interested in Google & YouTube, I'm asking here. Denis |

The Turkish company, Tisas, uses the brand name ZIG on many of their pistols. Denis, are you talking about the Sig Sauer pistol, or are you asking about a Tisas model?

I shot a full size p320, it was good slightly more recoil than a Glock 17. Ergos are good as well pretty average as far as shooting characteristics go.

So if only people that have handled the actual military models can comment then you're going to have a pretty limited response base. There is the civilian option M17, as well as the commemorative model, and moreso the M17 is really not that much different than a recent production P320 (unless you're looking for someone to sound off on the manual safety or optics plate they use).

Guess I'm not being clear enough.
The new civilian-available commercial SIG M17 pistol. Was hoping for other people's experiences with that pistol. Denis |

Owning, carrying, and loving a Sig P320 Carry, unincumbered with the politically correct manual safety I see no reason to buy a M17.

Just get a Glock model 45 and be done with it.

I won't lie - I've seen the M17 in a gun store and been tempted.
But then I think about that dumb optic plate choice/design, how well my Glocks, Walthers, and CZs work, and recent SIG QA/QC, and my wallet cools back down again. |

My good friend. Is a lawyer so naturally has gobs of money, he often stays with me when in this area probably because I am cheaper than Motel Six . Last week he was here with a new unopened Sig model M 17 in FDE. He said the pistol retails for eleven or twelve hundred bucks, it was a really nicely made pistol with the GI markings (I think the US Property was absent). The pistol was accompanied by three eighteen round magazines. I fired four shots into my test barrel...the first four out of the tube....and it functioned just fine. Testing complete (ha ha) it should be ready to meet any challenges.
I don’t know what you are after but it shot (4 times) like a Sig 9mm, was nicely constructed and finished plus it had a sort of military appeal. |

Was sorta hoping for something a little better than four shots in a barrel.

I didnt think there was any difference with the internals. I thought is was just the manual safety, finish and optics cover.

Dpris, I kind of thought you were looking for more but at least I held and fired one of the little buggers. Neat looking was its strong feature but my P 225 (P6) feels better to me and my basement 55 gal drum is no indoor range.

This one's gone nowhere useful.
Was interested in hearing experiences about specifically the civilian version of the M17 military pistol. Apparently nobody has one yet. So, thanks anyway, out of it. Denis |

. I'm sure if you check some other sources you might find some examples. I'd again point out that other than the safety and provision for optics, it's a P320. There are loads of posts on here about the P320.

I have sources.
I have the pistol. I'm not asking about a Glock. I was looking HERE for other experiences with the M17 MILITARY pistol released for the civilian market. No luck, again outa this thread. Thanks anyway, but no need for responses on anything BUT the civilian M17. Denis |

Sigh.....
I apparently don't have enough words to explain it clearly. I was asking for OTHER people's experiences with that ONE PARTICULAR M17 pistol, on THIS forum, NOT suggestions to buy a Glock & NOT suggestions to find other forums. Can't lay it out any plainer. Disregard. Denis |

I never told you to buy a Glock, even if someone else did. Sorry we let you down.
