gun box for bullseye

yesterday i was at the range and a fellow shooter had a box that held all of his bullseye gear as well as a mounted scope for looking downrange.....i asked him where he got it, and have since misplaced the paper that had all of the information. any information on this sort of case/box would me much appreciated. thank you..

Sounds like you're talking about a bullseye pistol box made like this one.

Ones like these are currently made by a company called Gun-Ho and can be found at shooting supply retailers. Like this one http://creedmoorsports.com/store/pro...roductid=16306

The scope mount can be bought from Gil Hebard shooting supplies.

I used a Pachmayr when I was active and sold it when it was give it up or move to optical sights. Recently I bought another NIB from EBay - cost a little more but I think the deluxe Pachmayr are worth it.

Yeah, the old bullseye boxes were Pachmayers, made of wood construction.

The new Gung Ho boxes are made of plastic.

You could move the tray in the old boxes to accomodate guns with grips and scopes by screwing in a new slide. That's what I did, but the new boxes you would have to screw through the plastic into the ledger.

I have a three gun, but they came up to five gun boxes.

There was a nice article in an old American Rifleman that explained how to make your own.

The concept is that you build the box as an entire box, and then slice through diagnally, so that you end up with a tapered lid and box side.
The diagnol cut going down the sides and a parallel cut on top and bottom.

I've made a couple for friends. Simple to do.

Nice set up for bullseye. I have a wire screen that is attached to my lid that I can clamp to the raise lid to make a big shell screen. Keeps the shooter's shells from dropping down into my collar. Ruins the concentration on timed and rapid fire! I have a clamp to keep the lid in up postition and a special holder drops the scope right down into place.

If you are in to shooting bullseye, it helps to have all at hand on the line right there by your side. Kinda like your home away from home. The photo above is an accurate representation of a home built one.
Pachmayers are grey vinyl pebble skin, mostly.

When ever you see someone with that type of box, they usually shot some bullseye now or in the past.
