I don't have to read the article. If his argument is that the shoulder of a SWC doesn't do anything because I proved it by filling it with grease to make it smooth -- that's what we call "dumb."

It probably involves one of more logical fallacies, but I'm much too tired to look up which one(s).

On hard cast, I've never read a single post of someone recovering a deformed FMJ from any tested material other than a rock hit round dug out of dirt.

If a copper FMJ doesn't deform even on bone, what does hard cast different? Absolutely nothing at all. In fact, hard cast can fracture/shatter.

Here's a Hornady bullet advertised with a thick copper jacket so it won't deform:

I think the ammo companies try not to produce a factory load that will punch a vest. The right FMJ bullet fired from a 357 may be considered armor piercing.

I see you live in Illinois. I never had any problem ordering ammo when I lived in Wood Dale - 10 years ago.

Only bears I saw in Illinois were at Soldier Field or in a Zoo.

Back from a long absence . . . . .

Some may have missed me or just as soon I stayed away

Anyways

A 357429 cast at about 18-20 bnh on top a healthy dose of 2400 will take care of badduns'.

If you don't reload

https://www.buffalobore.com/index.ph...t_detail&p=541

might be the ticket in a Ruger . . . .
