Serial number list for Colt 1917?
I’m trying to find an accurate list of dates and serial numbers for the Colt 1917 revolver. Any help/links would be appreciated!

It does, but what serial number should I enter? Everyone always argues about whether the buttplate number is the correct one or the serial under the barrel

The one on the buttplate is the official serial number. Barrels, cylinders and such can be changed.

Have you checked the Colt site? Often there are multiple guns with the same serial numbers.

Does Proofhouse.com have the data you need?

The buttplate serial says it was conscripted into the army in the spring of 1918. The serial on the frame says it wasn’t made until late 1919. I’m not sure which to believe Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
