20 inch 1:7 Upper? .223
I want to build this and am having a hard time finding one. Best bang for the buck? Would also consider a complete rifle. Will be used primarily for out to 600. Maybe more one day. Doesn't have to be upper echelon GI Joe stuff, but a solid value driven platform. Thanks.

Here's a GI barrel, grab a reciever I recommend an Aero Precision blemished receiver. BCGs are everywhere now. All depends if you want the GI sights or just scope it. Of course, there's many options out there. |

AR15 Performance has a 20" in stock. Every barrel I have from them shoots around 1/2" groups at 100 yards. With that barrel, 24 grs of Varget or CFE and 69 gr bullets is very accurate.

I have the PSA 20" CHF premium and it's phenominal. Last month I was using 77gr Sierra Matchkings and shot a 1.5" group... at 200 yards . Not bad for not being freefloated...
I don't buy anything PSA that's not their Premium line. I'm sure the other stuff works, but you still get what you pay for.

Some reporting poor accuracy are using 55gr and 62gr bulk ammo lol. If I get 2moa out of bulk ammunition, I know I can at least find something it will shoot better. They are claiming 6inch groups which could be something wrong with the barrel or many other things like too much coffee or becoming frustrated with a new rifle you just skipped a mortgage to get.

Yea, I agree Darryl. I can't bring myself to try any of the "freedom"-marked stuff, as I view their "Premium" line as not "Premium", but "corners not deliberately cut to provide bottom line value"
