Mine likes most slugs, but I like the big 1 3/8oz variety. Those who shoot my 1201 are less fond of them.

I'm sorry to bring this thread back to the top, but I'd like to know the technical reason why the felt recoil was reduced by shortening the stock. Thanks. Mike |

Mine has less recoil than my Rem Marine Magnum.
I do shoot reduced recoil loads in both of them nowadays. |

How short did you go? I'm finding that even the 13" LOP is too long for a lot of slug shooting. I'm 5'8" with a 39# chest and have seen guys 6' with 44" chests shooting 870's with LOP 12-12 1/2 inches .... and they like it that way.
